I recently closed out a five day visit with an out-of-town friend that nourished places in my soul I didn't realize were that desperately in need. I looked at this week and struggled to put my emotions into words.
I've come off a frenetic two weeks of knocking things off my to-do list and visiting people. I over-scheduled in my attempt to front-load as many tasks as possible.
It still doesn't feel real. Maybe it won't be real until I step off the plane on October 8th and answer customs questions on the other side of the world.
