Raspberry Chocolate Dreams

In my quest to find delicious hot drinks that are not tea, I thought, "Why deal with the middleman, here?" The middleman in this scenario being dried leaves and pieces of dried fruit or flower petals. So, I got a pack of fresh raspberries and started experimenting. I like the results of my first try, so I share the result with you.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups water
  • 8 raspberries
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking cocoa
  • 1-2 tbsp sugar (your taste)
  • (optional) Splash of heavy whipping cream

Directions:

  1. Boil raspberries and water in a small saucepan until the raspberries fall apart.
  2. Strain the pulp and seeds out.
  3. Pour the raspberry liquid into your mug of choice and add the sugar and cocoa. Stir thoroughly.
  4. Add cream if desired. Enjoy!
