Teriyaki Sauce
We might be on a "Yaki" kick. Teriyaki chicken. Teriyaki sauce. Yakisoba. Teriyakisoba...?
Nutrition: 700 calories
Ingredients:
- 6 tbsp soy sauce
- 6 tbsp sake
- 6 tbsp mirin
- 3 tbsp sugar
Directions:
- Be 21 years old (we’re putting 2 different kinds of booze in here!)
- Mix ingredients in a saucepan.
- Bring to a boil and continuously stir until sugar is dissolved.
- Lower heat to the lowest setting until the liquid calms down, then raise it back up to about 4 and cook for 10-15 minutes until sauce thickens.
- When you tilt the saucepan, small bubble clusters will appear at the bottom – this means that the sauce is ready to use.
