Teriyaki Sauce

Teriyaki Sauce

We might be on a "Yaki" kick. Teriyaki chicken. Teriyaki sauce. Yakisoba. Teriyakisoba...?


Nutrition: 700 calories

Ingredients:

  • 6 tbsp soy sauce
  • 6 tbsp sake
  • 6 tbsp mirin
  • 3 tbsp sugar

Directions:

  1. Be 21 years old (we’re putting 2 different kinds of booze in here!)
  2. Mix ingredients in a saucepan.
  3. Bring to a boil and continuously stir until sugar is dissolved.
  4. Lower heat to the lowest setting until the liquid calms down, then raise it back up to about 4 and cook for 10-15 minutes until sauce thickens.
  5. When you tilt the saucepan, small bubble clusters will appear at the bottom – this means that the sauce is ready to use.
