Hot Lemonade

This has been my family's cure-all beverage of choice for fevers, colds, and even--you guessed it--The Big Bad. It's no cure, but it packs a Vitamin C punch and coats your throat with heat and honey. Good stuff.

Ingredients:

  • 2 lemons
  • Hot water
  • Honey (or sugar, but I recommend honey)

Directions:

  1. Set some water boiling in a kettle or saucepan.
  2. Slice your lemons and squeeze them out into a mug. If you like pulp, cut some pulp into the mug.
  3. When the water is hot, pour it into the mug. Leave some room toward the top.
  4. This step depends on your taste. If you have a sweet tooth, pour in a crap ton of honey and stir. If you like it sour, add just a little, or even none. Basically add honey and keep tasting until it's just right.
  5. Drink as many rounds as your tooth enamel will allow and let that Vitamin C kick butt in your system. Get well soon!
